Unravelling 2014

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.” – Picasso

It really is time for clarification of thought and a leap forwards.

This year … Well. For me, the word describing this year is “statis”.  In fact, I’ve never had a year like it where the only thing I seem to have achieved is to keep going.

Next year will be different and here’s what’s going to make it so: reflection, planning, and a sprinkle of imagination.

Using Susannah Conway’s powerful “Unravelling the Year Ahead” workbook, I’m going to Make A Plan. Cause after all, fail to plan, plan to fail and all that? And I need to find clarity amongst the chaos.

But this workbook she’s so, so kindly giving away free is much more than just a tool to make a roadmap for next year. It’s a way of putting right the wrongs of this year – a reconciliation. Reconciling the not-so-great things, developing and progressing the great things.  A way of doing more than just muddling through.

Contemplating, reflecting, analysing, planning. Some would say dreaming, but that’s not really me me so I’ll just stick with planning, I think!

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” – Jim Rohn
My word for 2014, I think, is probably going to be “courage”. To let some old things go and sort out new things. Rather than just muddling through. That doesn’t get you to places you want to go.

Thank you Susannah, this workbook is priceless.

A very particular miss
